După repatrierea lui Simon Măzărache, conducerea clubului nostru reușeste o nouă lovitură de imagine prin aducerea lui Florin Costea. În vârstă de 37 de ani, atacantul echipei noastre a jucat ultima oară la Viitorul Dăești in Liga III, echipă la care s-a transferat fratele său Mihai Costea. Costea a semnat un contract valabil pe 1 an și 6 luni cu echipa noastră și va evolula cu numarul 3, un număr atipic pentru un atancat dar cu o semnificație aparte pentru el, este ziua când s-a născut fetița lui.
Florin Costea s-a născut la Drăgășani, județul Vâlcea și și-a început cariera la Rarora Râmnicu Vâlcea în anul 2003. Trei ani mai târziu, își face debutul în Liga I la FC Universitatea Craiova. Acesta și-a mai trecut în palmares echipe precum Steaua București si CFR Cluj. A fost desemnat cel mai bun fotbalist al campionatului în sezoanele 2007-2008 și 2008-2009 și golgeter al campionatului în sezonul 2008-2009, unde a reușit sa înscrie 17 goluri.

M-am dus la Câmpulung, am întâlnit niște oameni minunați și un proiect de viitor pe mai mulți ani și sper să ne îndeplinim primul obiectiv pe care îl avem: promovarea în Liga 3.
Am întâlnit oameni de calitate, care știu ce vor să facă în fotbal și veți auzi lucruri frumoase de la Câmpulung. Îmi doresc să joc în continuare, pentru că pot și în Liga 3. Vreau să mai joc cât îmi permite, pentru că urmează să îmi fie dor după, asta îmi place să joc. Am început cursurile de antrenorat, dar o să joc în continuare. O să o iau ușor ca antrenor secund, dacă voi avea timp”, a declarat Florin Costea pentru Fanatik.
